Thanks for the great advice. I got my RF some different substrate and sprayed it with water. She is already more active and inquisitive. Terry knows what he is talking about and i would love to own a tortoise bred by him.

I have a tortoise that I inherited. It looks like the picture of the sickly tortoise on your front page. I want to try to help it. It has a protrusion on it's lip that looks like extra bone or something. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? Any suggestions on helping it get healthier?

Terry's experience and knowledge, and generousity in sharing those with others, is unsurpassed. It's clear he is passionate about his tortoises and wants to make sure other keepers, whether or not they get animals from him, are raising their animals successfully. And his tortoises look great!

Great website. Lots of information and beatiful pictures. These are my favorite pets and it's great to see so many people enjoying them as much as I do. I've seen may red foots and Turtletary's are really beautiful.
