This is the FIRST hatchling of my smallest (3rd) Colombian..
which I really intended to keep.
He has excellent colors everywhere!
Now 6" SCL.. a beautiful Colombian redfoot!
Because of his slight 'bumpy' carapace and tiny
split-scute.. he is discounted considerably.

BR=Brazilian { AKA Cherryhead
} female laid the eggs these hatched from.
These hatchlings could have Brazilian and Northern blood in them..
OR they could be PURE Cherryhead!
Brazilian 'colors' vary considerably..
from a dull tint of red, pink, 'pumpkin'/orange and brilliant scarlett cherry!!!
[ prior to July '08 there was exposure to "Northern"
males..
and no one is exactly sure how long a female can carry the sperm ]
The first 6 hatchlings { Dec./Jan. '09 } have "darker-seams" on their plastrons..
indicating "Cherryhead" dominance!?
The last few for '09 have that 'dark'
plastron.. indicating "Brazilian"!
This is their mother..
only "Brazilians" have this plastron pattern -
[ she IS over 12" SCL.. by the way! ]
